Meet the Bros

Welcome Chillin’ in the Icebox, a blog run by two friends and aspiring writers: Alex (Daximum) Brown and Chris (MadDog) McCormick.

Chris and Alex met while both were attending college at Utah State University through mutual friends. The two quickly realized that they shared similar interests in things like music and video games, but also, both had dreams of becoming writers and novelists. The two started sharing book ideas, brainstorming and editing for each other.

Even with many shared opinions, Chris and Alex did not always see eye-to-eye on everything and would often get in long debates over their differing ideas. Instead of letting their differences pull them apart, they rather took those differences and used them to enhance their knowledge and outlook on the world, from the smallest of issues like which Harry Potter movie is the best, to larger more pressing issues like politics.

In 2011, Chris moved from Utah to Washington DC to be with his fiance. Not wanting their collaboration to end, Chris and Alex decided to start a blog together as way to continue to share their ideas, opinions and friendship. And so began Chillin’ in the Icebox.

P.S. There will most likely be a liberal use of the term “Bro.”
